Terms and Conditions

As dental decay is an infectious disease, we require some basic care to maintain work we have completed.  Without this basic care, even Exceptional dental care will not last.  Because bacteria can move from infected areas to newly restored areas and cause breakdown,  all  decay or periodontal related issues must be completed on your treatment plan within one year of starting your work.  This requires a comprehensive examination.  Decay, as mentioned here, means decay, erosion, marginal decay, and any other decay process related to bacterial infection.  Periodontal related issues refers to any issue of health as related to your gums including, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, routine prophylaxis, and fluoride treatment.  Fluoride treatment is essential for proper maintenance of the strength of your teeth and is an excellent cavity preventative.  We stand behind our work, however, there is often difference of opinion as to what needs to be replaced due to failure.  Ultimately, it is the decision of Exceptional Dental to decide what needs to be replaced and to replace it at their option.  Specialist treatment for conditions are not considered part of this guarantee.  Cosmetic treatments need not be completed to maintain your guarantee as these are not essential to your health.   

To maintain the health of your mouth and your lifetime guarantee it is essential your recall program be followed.  Your recall program refers to your cleanings and fluoride every 6 months, or your periodontal maintenance every 3 or 4 months depending on what has been recommended.  For complete dentures, your recall program is an examination and denture maintenance every 2 years.  Timely adherence is recommended for your health but if you’re off by as much as 6 weeks we will still keep your guarantee in effect.  Also, missing more than 2 appointments without providing 24 hours notice or not paying any balance due invalidates this agreement.
