Dr. Sexton graduated with dual degrees in Biology, and Chemistry from Florida Southern College, both with high honors. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, DMD, from The University of Florida. He is a distinguished member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The American Dental Association, The American Orthodontic Society, and The Florida Dental Association.

Perhaps more than anything, Dr. Sexton takes pride in his Honorary Degree from Universidad De Quito, Ecuador. He received this honor for providing dental care to impoverished children in Ecuador, and basic medical care of villagers in the Andes Mountains. He takes great pride in the fact that he had the opportunity to provide a child, lacking in self esteem, the ability to smile. Dr. Sexton has spent a good portion of his professional career giving back to those in need, and intends to continue to make that a priority in his life.
